Just as with the construction of all structures, there must be layers of support to strengthen them. CSC has strived to create many such supports, many available to all county residents and others targeted to specific, at-risk populations. The mission of Family and Community is to develop and sustain collaborative networks of resources, high-quality services and supports that respond to the needs of children, families and communities and result in positive outcomes for children.
The work of Family and Community includes the development of After-School programs, Beacon Centers, School Behavioral Health, Family Resource Centers, Family Empowerment programs, Advocacy and Oversight services, and Healthy Choice programs.
